Trillium kurabayashii (pic for 3PB)

I love these but so do the squirrels.

Oh no, Seab, we get the occasional squirrel, but usually they take the neighbour's Crocus corms on route to us.

What beauties do the flowers come out like a chocolate colour.

3PB, yes a chocolate/maroon coloured flowers, but I think that first flower has been frosted/rain damaged.

I have Trillium envy , these are fabulous ,I love them ..

I have Trillium envy too, Amy, when I see a garden with a carpet of them, they are so slow, for me anyway.
