First flowers from the red Clianthus puniceous. This is a two year old cutting from the now deceased original plant.

Don't forget to take cuttings to replace this, it's worth the effort to keep the lovely diva going.

I'm going to Siris but I have four babies from seed as backup as well although cuttings is definitely a quicker way to flowers. The white flowers are always later even though the pots are together. Weird!
