Sambucus appearing again

i no longer have this one, but I love the new r growth on any sambucus. always a joy to see.

Looks like seaweed. Never seen a Sambucus coming into leaf before.

Siris, I drastically pruned this last Autumn and hoped it would recover. Seems to have .....

Snap Shirley....it’s identical to ours......we did the same, was doubtful it would recover....must be pretty tough!
