Clianthus puniceus albus flowers opening at last. I wanted to have a go at crossing red with white to see what we get.

I had a go last night but you have to open the end of that beak to do it.

I love these I had two years ago but the cold killed them . I hope you get it open to het a cross.

Thanks for that Sue!!! I've been having a go with a little paintbrush so we'll see. It's a bit like Cobaea, the cup and saucer vine. In Mexico, where it hails from, it's pollinated by bats. Now we do have a few round here but I don't think they're doing anything with my plants.
