The town does look lovely Chris. There are more and different displays around the town which I want to try and get to photo. These ones were handy to do as they are right beside the outdoor market where I work. The council always put on a good display, some would say they wished the council would put as much effort into other aspects of the town! The judging has been done, tomorrow I should find out where Oswestry came.

Do you live near Oswestry? When we were looking for our new home we stayed there in a hotel on the main street - loved the town and Shropshire too - but decided on Somerset in the end. Hope Oswestry did well in the competition!

Yes Spritz, I am only 12 miles from Oswestry. I guess that hotel would have been The Wynnstay? It is a lovely town, still a typical market town with character and individual shops. Sadly, a retail park on the cards :( , but being contested.

Was told today that the results are not announced until September.
I had intended to get more photo's of the town today, but forgot, in the rush to get out this morning, to take my camera with me!

What wonderful pics. Our British towns must be looking wonderful if they are taking part in Britain in Bloom. Makes we want to jump on a plane and come and see it.
