Yes I have noticed quite a few keep them in pots .
I placed them in pots from the garden just before I went into hospital early spring in 2005 Siris and had my operation in mid November that year as I knew I would nt be able to get down to check and see for snails after my operation where in the pots I can pick them out with my helping hand.

Yes, I just said the same thing..got me thinking..maybe I need to transplant them?

That would be a good idea Kate or surround them with pea gravel.
