Sunflowers- early days

Am determined to grow sunflowers this year. Have never been successful in getting them to full height and have problems with ants farming the green fly. However this year with more time on my hands I am looking after them like their my children! Lol

I grew some once and they needed support from some sturdy Bamboo canes!

Yes they need a lot of support- have promised some local children in the village that I’d drop one off each and then we can see who grew the tallest one! 🌻
