It flowers in spring. Another name for it is 'Granny's Bonnet'. I haven't got photos of it on my page but others have . The dried seed pods are quite attractive aswell.

Definitely Aquilegia (Columbine); some varieties self seeding; comes in a variety of colors; good for windy locations because of its height and compactness.
