This is how I sat when I was at school all facing the teacher and blackboard which makes you learn better and the teacher can see all of what your up to and this is how the schools will now return to as I ve heard on the news with this so called virus .

Weren't we angels? Stood up when the teacher came in, scared to death of doing something wrong! What little Goody-Two-Shoes we were expected to be in Junior schools. Not so biddable in Secondary school!

Lovely old photo Thruppenybit, thanks for showing it to me. It's good to have a record of our family's history, it makes us who we are today :)

Yes it is good to keep for our family history my 2 eldest children are nt interested they say they never knew them so whats the point may be one day they will be interested my younger daughter is interested may be one of my 9 grandchildren or my 10 great grandchildren will be in the future.. .

I have a photo of my grandmother in school in the 1890s. I'll look for it to show you …
Why do your relations think we teach history in schools ? We don't remember the stone age people or Henry Vlll but we have to learn about our past or we don't know who we are ourselves. I think they're talking nonsense.

I shall look forward to seeing your grand mother in her school Hywel surprising how far back photography goes when looking the history of it. It said the Chinese were the first.
I believe its all to do with brain washing from our universities and filtering down into schools with the nanny state we ve had as Europe was the first to delete and rewrite all history purposely so we would never know of our past and identity Hywel from what I ve read in past years.
I tell them as far back as you can see in history thats how far forward you can go for the future as history repeats it self and you learn from history not to make the same mistakes .
Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.
George Orwell.

LOVELY TO HAVE PHOTOS FROM A LONG TIME AGO. THANKS FOR SHARING. SCHOOL WAS STRICT AND WE HAD TO LISTEN AND LEARN AND GOT SENT HOME WITH HOMEWORK TO DO. WE HAD TO REMEMBER HOW TO SPELL WORDS FROM THE DICTIONARY, BECAUSE WE WERE TESTED LATER ON ON SPELLINGS AND WE WERE TAUGHT THE TWELVE TIMES TABLES TOO.

Thank you Lindak yes we had to chant all our times tables yes up to 12x table we were taught to spell in a rhythm as the head master and most teachers were from Wales in our infant and junior school. It was nt until senior school we had home work yes we had to do our work in class no messing if you did you would be sent for the cane.
