Thanks Kate so glad you like it. The smaller leaves around the perimeter are ajuga which turn a nice glossy black as it matures. It contrasts nicely with the blue hosta.

I’ve some of the ajuga, Paul. I have it on the rockery. It seems to do quite well, then sort of looks poorly for some time then once again it ‘wakes up’.. I understand it’s a spreader, but, mine is taking years!
