I just love all varieties, one of my favourite flowering plants. I love the Mediterranean feel in the garden..
Nice close up too! It’s such a deep colour.

I discovered this plant wants full on direct sun all day long and a hot arid location with good drainage.

Thanks Paul, I planted the French lavender a few weeks ago..they are in full sun most of the day - on the rockery with very good drainage as it’s almost vertical. I am watering regularly, although we’ve had thunderstorms for the past couple of days :-(
I’ve noted some new flowers emerging, is it right I should snip off the faded blooms? I’m just a bit wary as I’ve not been successful with this lavender in the past..

I haven't touched mine at all. It's in full bloom now. I think somebody said to trim after blooms fade. I'll go back to that later but I'm not going to touch it for now. Ours should be in bloom all through the summer.
