Foxglove

Foxglove

This foxglove was a seedling from lutea but totally different. I put a pic on in June last year but it didn't set any seed. It's come back with two flower stems this year. (lutea is the small yellow flower next to it as an example)

Fascinating what pops up, isn't it? I have a 'fully round' one in the border, bright pink-purple and dumpy. No idea where it came from. I have only grown the usual white or pink varieties myself. Also have a patch of lutea, beloved by the bees.

That is so pretty, hope it sets seed for you.
