In Ontario we have officially had the wettest summer on record! (At least the grass is nice and green this year!)

That's too bad Gillian and to be honest, I think I'd prefer scorched grass, it always grows back again anyway :-/

i dont want to look out the back jacque , that seems to have gotten the worse of it today. 9pm news had camera crews up here, basically all the main rds are closed and some of the villages are shut off, but the co.council say they should have all the rds re opened by the morning

Oh dear Irish. That doesn't look or sound good. Has it eased off a bit now or are you planning on building an ark?
Luckily we live on top of a hill so rain is not a problem...wind is another matter. We have had both in the last few days but most trees around us are still standing.
I will join in the 'rainstop' dancing with Joannie for you as I have no idea how to do the candle spell lol!
