I like these plants but they became too rampant in my garden ... popped up everywhere so they have now gone!

Yes, they do become thuggish sometimes. I dug out my big white ones a couple of years ago, but every year I get new plants appearing....every little bit of root left in the ground seems to create a new plant. They are so lovely though in late summer. It's hard to get cross with them!

I have to agree, saying that I have one that just tickles the surface every year and may have one flower on if I’m lucky! Very odd..☺️

That's an attractive shade of pink on this plant. I have a boring pale pink-dirty white one which flowers when it feels like it but hasn't spread too much. Hardly a showstopper like this one is.

Thanks Ange, I got it as a clump from OH’s mum. She has a couple, one in her front garden and one in the back.

What else?

See who else is growing Anemone hupehensis (Japanese anemone).

See who else has plants in genus Anemone.
