Is it part of a parade, Paul?

Not a parade. This is the every day attire It's mainly geared for visitors to NYC but heck I'm always ready for a carriage ride through Central Park. It's magical! The horses really like it too - to trot.

Right, I get it now. Loved Central Park! I’ve some fab pics from previous visits, my favourite is actually the Angel of the Water.

Not sure how much longer these horses will be around in New York. The animal rights activists are trying to have them banned following a few horrible accidents.

That's a shame, the drivers ought to be more careful. Lovely to see the old traditions still being done and yes the horses love it as I used to do a bit of horse and cart driving, but some people forget that a horse is a live animal on the road. I think well the horses came first so people should respect that and pass slowly. I learnt about the different harnesses and how to look after them with cleaning and using saddle soap to clean them with. Thanks for sharing this lovely picture Paul.
