Hollyhock

This nice tall hollyhock seeded itself in the middle of the gravel path. I've not watered the garden,only the pots so it's had to fend for itself. Doing ok, about seven feet high.

They were called black when I planted the original seeds a couple of years ago but really dark burgundy red. To the right you can see the smaller one with flower.

I grew some Hollyhocks, there was a black it was the only one covered in mildew.

No mildew but the large bottom leaves had a bit of rust.

I think I assumed it had red flowers, but that's the Rose behind.
