Thanks - Maybe more by accident than design but I like to have a good mix of shrubs and perennials in the borders.

Yes, I've planted a lot lately "to see what they look like". Some are an unexpected pleasant surprise, others I'm not so keen on. I don't always want to grow the same old thing.

I am like you i try to go for something different and unusual where i can but obviously i have to be careful given my coastal location.
