I’ve had this yucca for many years. It did suffer badly one winter, due to prolonged cold weather - which caused it to snap at the base..eventually it grew back!!!

I like the reflected light on this. We dug out all the brown ones we inherited in this garden. Thought they were rather dingy!

Hi Julia, thank you. Yes, it’s a pine next the yucca. Both are under the canopy of an acer and a juniper.

Thanks Paulrija.
Hi Ange, thanks. The sun was just hitting it at the right time.
Thanks Dawn, yes, they do, don’t they. This one was a supposed ‘goner’, but luckily sprouted new growth many tears ago, taking some time to grow however.

Hi Dawn, it happened many winters ago, ( sounds like the start of a children’s story! ) prolonged cold, frosty weather damaged it. I brushed past it of sorts and the whole top with the sword shaped leaves just came right off like I had taken the lid of a pot!!!! I was left with a little spike. Luckily it starting shooting again with new growth. ☺️
