Bathgate, there is a white variety, obviously not called Big Blue.

I have a white one, not quite in flower yet, it's called Liriope muscari Monroe White.

That's interesting The grape hyacinth is also called muscari. Are they related or a misnomer?

I believe muscari refers to a scent of musk, not that I've ever sniffed a flower, must do tomorrow.

Oh OK that makes sense. I didn't know they had a scent either. I'd have to almost kiss the ground to get a whiff of those. I'm not doing ti. lol But let me know if you ever smelled a scent on them.
