Pandanus adds tropical beach thoughts.. (Pandanus furcatus)

I think it does.ha. Just look at the stilt roots ( up close) and twisty leaves.
Looks as good as it gets after a long summer and still having 80f days in late October. A very warm year.

It's a variegated Rubber Tree,'Ruby' Klahanie. In a large pot or it would already be a good sized tree. I've also cut it back hard once. All that in five years from a plant from Walmart that was in a 2 or 3 " paper cup type pot.
The big green leaf is Ficus auriculata. I have good photo of that I need to cut down the MB to post..soon. It has figs edible but not as it's told really edible...not tasty I guess. Edible to birds and wildlife.

Lovely combination all together, Stan. I agree those are some roots on your pandanus! Will you be keeping this is a pot or will you plant it out? The ruby rubber is a real treat to see outside! Striking colours. The ficus, what I can see, loving the big green leaves!

Still almost 27C here today Kate (setting the scene!) I think it's good for one more year in a larger pot. After that,I'm not sure.

Today I moved it to the front yard.In its pot still on the ground. Let it root in,then later in a couple of years, cut away the pot.
I just didn't have the room to dig a clean hole without crushing plants all around. Plus the ground is pretty dry clay. PLUS..lol..Taking that out of the pot to plant it in the ground is a lot of weight.
At least this way ,I will never lose it to satans gophers!
