Carica papaya - Papaya

Carica papaya - Papaya

This papaya tree is loaded with fruit. It typically takes 3 to 5 months for fruit to ripen here. There’s a Cherimoya on the left and a very tropical Wax Jambu (which are very common in this neighborhood) to the right. Photo taken Jan. 5, 2021.

That fruit looks amazing! Massive too! I can only imagine how delicious the papaya will taste...

I’ve grown papayas for many years. When home-grown they taste like candy...so sweet and juicy.

This is one of the many dozens of papaya trees I see when driving to work.
