This Rhinocattleya grows outdoors...but when it's in blooms we bring it in. Has a nice scent to it also. A pungent gardenia.
I forget if its Rainbow or Hawaiian ..something. Eh,doesn't matter!

Thank you. Orchids like this seem to take much more cold then I would have thought. I have to be careful in summer more since one hot day of too much direct sun burns a leaf that will still hang on like that for 2 years or more.

Thank you Klahanie. I bought the plant at a flea market, from a vender who sells orchids. He at first had just moth and some dendro's. I asked him about Cats and sure enough the next time he had them and I bought 2.

Yes, it doesn’t matter what it’s name is - it’s a beauty! Love the warm sunny colourings.

Very striking, love it. You are right about SOME orchids tolerating a bit of cold. My Cymbidiums take an occasional night temp down to3oC but live inside the cool conservatory.

It's still in full bloom. What's interesting? When I used to just leave them in bloom outside?..the flowers didn't seem to last long. Colder weather didn't make it last longer.
