This F. lyrata was just recently planted. It looks very good. In a few years it should be three or four times this size. Photo taken March 19, 2021 in Balboa Park.

There’s many very close (a block or two from the beach) to the coast here.
It can grow quickly if well-watered.
If you ever get to north-eastern Los Angeles there’s so many very large F. lyrata growing there in those neighborhoods. So many are 40 to 50 ft tall...I think some may be approaching 60 ft.
It was funny I noticed all these trees while stuck in horrible traffic several years ago.

I once found one on google maps growing near the coast in socal. I don't remember the city now. But what I did notice is that when I changed street view to five years prior? It was like in your photo and by 2020 was about 20' tall and half as wide..dark green and the canopy was thick.
I always thought they were slow to very slow growers. No now!
