Each Spring this climber displays very attractive pink and green leaves......well,it should......when I planted it someone told me to beware of cat inquisitiveness....sure as eggs, the 2 local cats are very attracted to it....some of the leaves are affected....I'm lucky if I see any of those beautiful leaves.Ive been told to use garlic to dissuade them...so an almost empty Lazy garlic jar was spread around...will have to wait and see what transpires.Wondering if anyone else grows this.

Hoping your garlic works, Julia. It sounds like it’s a pretty flower when -if - it blooms. It would look very pretty contrasted against the newly painted fence.

My rooted cutting was doing brilliantly, but a frost has killed/shrivelled the exposed top leaves. Just can win!

We had to remove ours...... the cats wouldn’t leave it alone....

Looks as if it has survived. My seedling Actinidia was broken at ground level by a cat. I used the broken-off portion as a "cutting" and have got it rooted and planted in a different place. The original is just doing. Both of mine have wire netting fences around them. The cat & owners have moved.
