Clematis alpina 'Tage Lundell'

The photo doesn't do this alpina justice. It is lovely in flower (deep purple) but the buds and stems that preceed the open flowers make for a beautiful, dainty effect IMHO. They are claret-purple coloured and quite gorgeous. I'm surprised it is not more readily available. This is my second one. I had it years ago and wanted another for this garden. Its second season and doing well.
