Grey Squirrel seen on our walk in Allestree Park.

we have a new bird table and the local squirrels are struggling to get in but they do persevere. I wish we had more reds instead though.

Yes the grey squirrels aren't native and I think that they can give the red squirrels a disease. Where we used to live on the I.O.Wight they were all red squirrels.

yes they carry squirrel pox which they are immune to but sadly the reds are not. They are also less fussy eaters.

Pine Martins seem to be able to catch the greys as the reds are too fast for them.
