Cercidiphyllum japonicum 'Rotfuchs'

Red Fox Katsura Tree
Has compact, columnar habit. Heart-shaped leaves (resemble those of a small redbud) emerge burgundy in spring and are changing colour all summer. In high summer they are bluish green and turn harvest gold in the fall.
They do not like dry soil and will perform best where they have consistent moisture.

What a wonderful colour Klahanie 🙂. We had a Cercidiphyllum Japonica in our old garden which had golden leaves, but I like this one better!

That looks and sounds like a lovely addition to your garden, Klahanie. I love the cercidyphyllum we have so I'm sure I'd want one of these! 'Consistent moisture' is never available in this garden, sadly!
