Put into top end of garage border. Quoted as not liking too much sun but seems ok here. G. p Samobor does well enough in this border.

I like the leaf patterning very much.

Thanks, I grow many plants as much for their leaves.
SBG, Did Springtime sow itself true, or did you take cuttings? I find Samobor seeds very (too) readily

I don't think mine was Springtime it just had Sambour Mourning widow, hand written on the label. The flower seems to come true for me but some variation on the leaf pattern.
I have tried seed of a pale lilac and a white one but without success. Perhaps those are sterile.

I've just moved phaeum 'Lisa', which had disappeared under the fuchsia growth last summer. I'm surprised it was still with me this Spring. I have put it in a shadier, moister place which I hope it will like better! It, too, has variegated leaves.

SBG, Samobor is very robust. These variegated ones don't seem so sturdy, but I will try to remember to see if they produce seed and wether it's viable.
ANGET, Lisa looks fairly similar to Springtime in leaf.

I have it dotted all through the shady areas of my garden and when the sun is behind it it is even more beautiful.
I also like the brownish/maroon splodges of colour on most of the leaves too.
