as long as the bin has something soft to land on he'll be fine ;o)
Good job being done there.

I just remembered why I got rid of my hedges. Ladders & I don't get along. I prefer terra firma.

Topiary comes to mind. Bit precarious up that ladder.

This is why, although I miss my lovely big garden I don't miss these huge jobs ....

Well done to you both for cutting back the Laurel . . . I definitely could not get on a ladder to do that!

Amy - that's the other reason I got rid of my hedges. I loathed trimming them, then cleaning up - takes all day. I also gained 4 feet of garden space along the west border.

Those laurel hedges look amazing, Linda! Shaped beautifully! Barry is very much like my OH, he’s always up a ladder doing something - pruning, trimming...
When we had the very tall eucalyptus tree, he’d climb right up it and we’d communicate with walkie talkies! I’d be upstairs in one of the back bedrooms giving him instructions - left, right, towards the river...nightmare really!!!!!

Barry and I have been busy today. I cut the lower 2/3 and Barry cut the difficult top bit. I held the ladder in case he ended up in the brown bin. We have three bushes to do.
