Seaburngirl,
It has the most incredibly sweet, coconut scent.

Kate123,
It actually grows and blooms under pretty cool conditions. I’ve seen this vine in full bloom in the ground by foggy Pier 39 in San Francisco. My neighbor has a large one in their front yard and it has to be cut back constantly. It’s among the fastest growing vines in the world.

That is amazing! It looks like it’s a sort of tropical plant/flower too that would be native to some hot far flung destination! If you’ve a large garden/a few acres I’m guessing it would be ok? Saying that, you’d still be out pruning it pretty regular!

It’s actually a tropical vine, but able to tolerate cool, but not cold nor frosty conditions.
There a house close to downtown San Diego which has a huge backyard full with this vine. I’m guessing the owners of the let it take over. It’s very spectacular in flower.
