Umbilicus oppositifolius

Interesting name. I'll re-photograph when the flowers have fully opened.

I can't seem to keep this from one year to the next. It is lovely though.

I've a second piece of this outside of the winter cover. It's only 1/2 m from this, but just not thriving as well as this.

Unusual that is has a human body part for a name! I have this on the rockery, Sue. Didn’t realise it’s name...

KATE, there is a native Umbilicus (rupestres), common name navelwort as the small leaves are oval and have a dimple in the centre.

HYWEL, that's interesting about liking growing in walls. Is the wall in shade? I've never seen rupestris in the wild, but I've just got seed thro' the HPS and got 3 little wee seedlings developing. I'm eventually going to place between some stones/rocks, apparently they like moisture, but not waterlogging. Assuming I manage to keep them developing.

They grow on an old stone wall. I'll try to find some photos to show you, I've got them on my computer somewhere.
