Our woodland plant we call Vanilla-leaf. Loves our moist and shady places .
Carpets of Achlys dominate several areas around here
When dried, leaves are strongly aromatic and smell like vanilla. Achlys was used by native tribes of southern British Columbia as an insect repellent.

Love it!!! What a pretty little flower! Plus...those lush big leaves. It looks like a wonderful plant to have in any woodland or shady corner of the garden, Klahanie. The leaves must smell divine when dried!
Thank you for posting the info too, very informative.
