I have to join the chorus! I love peonies too! this year was the high water mark for them in my garden they've been toughing along in the "transfer" bed for almost a decade. We had a milder than normal winter and this spring my shrubby tree peonie gave me mucho blooms! over the moon. the festiva maxima is covered (just in time for the rain to bow them over) but for some reason no blossom at all on the S. Bernhardt! amazing the difference a mild winter can make (at least around here) really is a "bowl of beauty", Klahanie.
