Harkness, floribunda, 1982.
I thought this was an HT. It is tall and slender with fabulous scent. Prone to the dreaded blackspot in my garden. This is a cutting from my original plant which I discarded! Couldn't give it up completely! I'm a hopeless case!

Thank you, Shirley. IF it wasn't for the 'spot' it would be perfect in every way!

It’s another beauty, Ange. Just as well you didn’t give up hope with this one!

Klahanie, I’m so sorry to hear how the heat/high temps have caused so much damage and obliterated a whole town..those poor folks. It’s just one big nightmare.
My thoughts are with you all out there. X

That's hard to hear, Klahanie. I hope these poor people are helped and able to resume their lives before too long.

Um, more than I have room for in the borders, Klahanie! I tried to count them when I was lying awake in the middle of the night a couple of days ago. I will keep falling for the large shrubby types.. I have my eye on a DA rose 'Buttercup' for the Autumn - that's bright yellow. I love yellow roses best, too. They generally have a good scent and they are so cheering.
How is the ghastly weather doing for you? You have been in my thoughts x
