Acanthus,not a favourite of mine but grows well beside the Physocarpus.

My favourite shrub looks good with the acanthus; a nice contrast.

I fo like those coloured leaves of the Physocarpus.

I love your Physocarpus Julia. I also quite like my Physocarpus Diabolo d’or which has bronze leaves … grown from a cutting from a friend’s shrub 🙂.

I think it’s a lovely colour, Julia. Like a very dusky plum… looks good amongst the other planting too. Really stands out well.
