Alstroe Indian Summer

Alstroe Indian Summer

Photo doesn't do it justice it's about 2ft wide and 3ft front to back, shame my other 2 from same series don't grow anywhere near as big as this, I am thinking of moving them to this area to see if they do better. Also think this needs dividing but am nervous to do it in case it spoils it

I split mine and now I have two growing happily. It's the easiest of the alsros. for the border, I think. I want to make a patch near my orange rose 'Lady of Shalott' (if I don't decide to remove her!). Yours looks beautifully positioned near its neighbours. What are they, D'lily? You have an eye for detail that I envy. I may have to come to your garden and steal all your planting combinations.....

Thank you Anget that's really kind of you, (I keep trying!) although it's kind of evolved. To the left is abelia (did try to move it a few years ago but it was solid) and to the right is Nandina domestica Richmond, and behind is cornus Kesselringii, I could possibly put something taller behind the alstroe if I divide it, I can see that lawn shrinking again! I will have to post a fuller pic to show you. You would be very welcome Anget 😀

No nor me, there is one in my area in a front garden and flowers into November I am always envious when I pass it and it is still flowering so late :-)
