Jumped up in the gazanias. I think I'd have had more had the weather been warmer earlier.

I've learned to watch my "weeds" and see what they become. I've had things come back I never expected or show something under appreciated.. These remind me of childhood.
I'm hoping this little guy spreads enough to have a happy return next year.

I love these little violas, I have them in the cracks in my paving, think they're called Heartsease here, to look at them makes you smile. I used to make and sell dried flower pictures in the 90s and these flowers were a favourite by everyone.

It is called Heartsease. It was used as an old herbal remedy for people with a broken heart apparently.

I'd forgotten about that name. How wonderful. Heartsease! I do hope he gets time to spread this year. I did find more by my irises.

Years ago we used to regard these as weeds and throw them away. I keep them now.
