spider and rudbeckia

Clear sky, arachnid and big yellow indian summer. I'm posting too many cause I couldn't see the spider in the thumbnails to choose my favorite.

I saw the thumbnails. My first thought was how was it possible to have palm trees in Alaska? On close inspection of course it's not palm trees it's rudbeckia. I am using a mini laptop with a very small screen.

LoL, I was told they have palm trees in the southern most part of Alaska. on those islands it holds. Do you know what kind of spider that would be, I can't quite tell.

Sorry Michael I'm really not sure. Bigger than most I would see around here other than rock spiders, (very official name).

I zommed in as close as I could with it. It has a shiny head, but I couldn't count more than 2 eyes. so It's hard for my research.
It's a great picture though.
