Praying Mantis

This is almost like having a pet. He/she's been living in my flower bed since it was a nymph. When it sees me, he/she will come out to meet me. If I hold out my hand, he/she will jump into my hand. They are cunning predators and prefer to catch their own food - live. Fascinating insects.

Thanks Paul. I enjoy seeing all the different life forms. I know I have little lizards running around out back too. They sun themselves on my patio, but run away when they see me.
