So glad it has come good for you I remember you asking about it a few weeks ago. Lovely colour.

Yours are lovely (mine won't stay upright!) :)

It’s a pretty one, Josee. Lots of flowers too! It’s definitely new to me, looks like it’s doing well for you.

Thank you all. Sheila, do you ever buy those metal garden rings which you pop over plants when they start to grow & then pull them up gradually, ( I don't find that it is necessary to buy the stakes that they sell with them). The foliage on strong plants keeps them up. Great on cat mints & other bushy herbaceous plants. I haven't one on the Gaura though, stems would be too weak I think, so the stakes would be needed in this case. I have bought some more for next year, for Salvias, Pink lips & Clotted Cream.
More room for more plants, when others are tidily held together! Sorry, this is turning into a blog.

Yes I do have some rings and they’re very useful for bushier plants. I’ve tried tying a thin stake to my pink Gaura but it’s not very successful.

I suspect a plant from Wisley is always going to come good 🙂.

Dd, the variety is Walberton's Flamingo. Sorry to be so long in replying. It's still nice & bushy, though minus the flowers. I won't cut it down then, I'll leave all the top on for protection during the winter. Thanks for the warning.

I thought it wasn't going to flower! The long thin red stems didn't seem to be like flower buds. I bought it at Wisley a year ago & it was a very weedy plant, the last one they had, but it has bushed up nicely over the year.
