Cassia fistula - Golden Shower Tree

I noticed this Golden Shower tree flowering on the way to work. I pass this house all the time and never noticed it flowering before this week. It’s not as common as the very common Cassia leptophylla (Golden Medallion shower tree).
They both have very sweet-smelling flowers, though. Photo taken in San Diego on Sept. 20, 2021.

very eye catching. That's the only draw back I have of being retired. I miss driving past other gardens with their spectacular trees.
