Thanks Julia. There is a variety actually called 'Fireworks'. It's very bold with orange & red leaves.

Sorry to hear that Klahanie. Maybe you just need to find the right place for them. Fountain grass is like dune grass you see at the beach. That's what they like. Very lean & gritty soil with blazing sun. Goldenrod likes that too. No fertilizer or compost for these.
