lovely festuca clump!! I have recently bought some at firesale prices hope they establish so they'll survive the winter... tried interplanting festuca and irish moss and festuca and sedum...fingers crossed!! Is the wonderful red/orange crocosmia? It really looks great Angie!!

thank you both, and Lori this is not a Festuca, although it is a blue grass, this one is quite different, Helictotrichon sempervierens or Blue Oat Grass. its far larger - gets to approx 3ft in flower, at the moment - as it has just finished flowering and been given a hair cut so it's only about 18". but a really fantasic plant, in my opionion far better than Festuca, so if you are a fan of ornimental grass would say this one is a must have Lori! look it up on my garden page under 'blue oat grass' i have some great pic's of it in flower.
