Moraea tulbaghensis

This opened for the first time today. It didn't want to because of the overcast skies and wind, but a couple of hours under the grow lights and here it is. Too often if a flower doesn't get the right conditions, it won't open and act the next as if it did and wither.

Lovely markings. Is it a corm, how old please. I am growing a Moraea hutonii from seed, it is one year old now.

Thanks. This is a 3 year old from seed. The Moraea huttonii is also a very nice one, but it is from the summer growing group and in the wild it grows near streams, so needs to be kept moist and may even be evergreen.

Thank you for that info, Wylie, I will keep it well watered in summer outside and bring it in during the winter.
