A rather sad looking Magnolia tree after the hard frosts.

A rather sad looking Magnolia tree after the hard frosts.

Funnily enough, this is the first time it has been touched by the extreme temps....the Mag Susan in the foreground also.

What a shame. Next doors huge white flowered Camellia is totally brown today.

lots in the village the same.
where I am Klahanie we can get hard frosts as late as end of May. I am in the middle of the east coast by the Humber estuary. East Yorkshire but I am on the edge of the Yorkshire wolds, above the humber basin and it can be 3-4 degrees C colder where I am but 3 miles away much warmer.

That's a pity, Julia. It did look very beautiful in bloom. I've seen a few succumb to frost..recently.

So sad to see this, especially after the beautiful sunny days preceding the frost.
