It's not a very clear one, Cal, but it did flit about a bit! I have holly and ivy close together in that area.

You need a patience of saint sometimes but well worth the wait aren’t they. I just read that 16 moths also lay there eggs on Ivy as well as the holly blue, it’s amazing how much life a bit of Ivy can hold.

We have ivies growing up the side of the garage whre they are less conspicuous and are meticulous in keeping them down to a certain height, Cal. Blue tits are quite fond as well!
We're the same, Shirley. Not sure how many we have..

Thank you Ange, the Blue tits and crew seem to like our Ceanothus too.

Cal, in an earlier house we planted a ceanothus against OH's office wall. He was thrilled 'cos he got to watch a wren poking about in it when he was working inside. His presence on the other side of the window didn't seem to faze her at all. She was a regular visitor.

:) so sweet, I like it when animals aren’t afraid of us when we earn their trust.
