Acers on the patio

I do love to see acers but have only managed to grow one in the garden. That’s only survived because it’s sheltered from the wind by the climber covered trellis. The first one I had was snapped by the wind before the trellis was covered and I have just taken my third one to my daughters because it wasn’t at all happy. She has the perfect growing conditions in her Japanese style garden. I am going to take a leaf from your book and buy new ones to grow in pots on the sheltered patio. :o)

That's a good way to keep your eye on them, HB, and easy to move if need be!

It’s lovely to see all your newly purchased acers all potted up, Ange! They do look really beautiful! I’m an acer lover too, I’ve a few..but, I’d have more if the space allowed it!
