Stera, I have to say I have mixed luck with foxgloves. I grow some new ones from seed each year. I planted (twice) a large patch near my large birch a couple of years ago and they all disappeared after the first flowering. Best ones are those which position themselves! And the digitalis lutea I grew from seed 3 years ago are still flowering this season!

Anget, I almost bought some Salvias as they were smothered with Bees, but sense prevailed as I have no space for Salvias!

Digitalis vulgaris is a biennial, so supposed to flower in the second season then die. They say you can distinguish a white vulgaris Foxglove by the tone of the leaves, but mine always end up pink ones.

We have them popping up everywhere this year, all freebies from somewhere ...

We too have them all over the garden. I quite like them so they can stay!….

They seem to be a favourite with everyone.
