Julia, it's not a plant I have ever grown. I think they can cope with cold, but not wet and cold, or frost. All sounds rather like myself ... :o)

Looks an attractive pairing, Julia. Love the succulents ‘bedded’ underneath too.
I’ve a few succulents and house leeks etc..I leave mine planted up on the rockery every year. I’m fortunate they are quite sheltered and on a sloped area. I also planted one large one the other week in to a pot with an ornamental grass, it’s next to the house wall..I’ll leave it and see how it goes.
