Pennisetum alopeculoides 'Hameln' - 2022 (Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln')

Grasses are coming to the fore now. This one needs good drainage to get it through a typical British winter. Can be divided in spring but you'll need something like an axe to split it as it makes a solid rootball

Andrew is this in your prairie garden? looks great. Love to see grasses but they don't do well in my clay garden...

Yes it is. All the grasses are coming into their own now, but the pennisetums make the boldest show. I know a gardener about ten miles from here on clay, and she loses it every winter
